ITHACA, N.Y. -- Host Ithaca finished the men's tennis season unbeaten in Empire 8 Conference matches as the Bombers blanked Nazareth, 9-0, in the teams' final regular-season match.

Ithaca improved to 8-0 in conference matches to clinch the regular-season title and to gain the top seed for next month's conference tournament. The Bombers are 15-3 overall. Nazareth finished its season at 3-16 overall and 2-6 in the Empire 8.

The closest matches came at first and sixth singles as juniors Adam Landry and Dan Matteo each lost second-set tiebreakers. Landry lost to Ithaca's Taylor Borda 6-2, 7-6 (7-2) and Matteo dropped his match to Seth Magnani 7-5, 7-6 (7-0).

At third doubles, the tandem of Colin Doran and Ben Caiella lost 8-6 to Ithaca's team of Daniel Adelman and Andrew Dunnick.
