Box Score ROCHESTER, NY - The Nazareth Men's Tennis team dropped a competitive match against SUNY Oswego by a score of 5-2 on Saturday afternoon. They now fall to 0-9 on the season and 0-5 in Empire 8 play.
 
How It Happened:

• The first doubles team of Max Funiciello and Pierre Ntonga got Nazareth started on a good note, taking the No.1 doubles match by a score of 6-2. Unfortunately for the Golden Flyers, Oswego responded to take the other two matches and claim the lone doubles point.
• The No. 1 singles match stretched past two hours, with Max Funiciello taking the first set 7-6 in a tiebreak before dropping the second in another tiebreak. The third set was another long battle, but Oswego ultimately earned the point with a 10-5 win.
• Pierre Ntonga fought hard in the No.2 singles as well as he won the first set before falling in the last two. 
• The lone winners in the singles for Nazareth were in the No.4 and No.6 matches. Nathan Bigelow rallied after losing the opening set to win the second and third set 6-1 and 7-5 respectively. Matthew Herb closed out the day for Nazareth winning in straight sets, 7-6 and 6-0.

• Nazareth will take on St. John Fisher Tuesday, April 21st at 4 p.m. where they will look to even the season series.
