Geneseo, N.Y. The Nazareth Track and Field team traveled to Geneseo to compete in the Early Season Invite on Friday, April 3rd and Saturday, April 4th. The team was very successful including Graeden Heichberger's performance bringing home 2 wins for the Golden Flyers.
How It Happened:
- Michael Puglisi and Nick Driver placed 8th and 9th in the 400 meter dash with Puglisi crossing the line at 49.65 and Driver with a time of 49.78
- Graeden Heichberger took 1st place in the Hammer Throw, throwing 56.72 meters (186'1" ft), David Dobrowolski finished 5th throwing, 53.60 meters (175"10" ft)
- Heichberger brought home another win for Nazareth in the Shot Put throwing 16.64 meters (54 '7" ¼ ft) and qualifying for regionals
- Cameron Almy raced the 5,000 meter race and finished 18th crossing the line with a time of 15:46.10
- In the 800 meter race Gavin McAllister raced to a time of 1:58.90, placing 20th overall
What's Next:
The team will travel to either Brockport for the SUNY Brockport Invite and Multi or travel to Lewisburg, PA for the Bucknell University Invite. Both of these meets take place the weekend of April 10th.
