Kyle Rosenberger and
Sven Habitzreuther earned Empire 8 Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week honors, as Rosenberger was named co-offensive player of the week and Habitzreuther was selected as defensive player of the week following a pair of statement victories for the Golden Flyers.
Nazareth extended its winning streak to nine games with a 21-0 shutout of Alfred and a 12-7 upset of No. 9 St. John Fisher. The win over Fisher marked Nazareth's first victory in the series since 2016 and snapped the Cardinals' 39-game Empire 8 regular-season winning streak, along with a 52-game conference win streak including postseason play.
The Golden Flyers remain the lone unbeaten team in Empire 8 action at 7-0 with two conference games remaining.
Rosenberger paced the Nazareth offense with 11 points across the two wins, totaling six goals and five assists. He recorded six points on three goals and three assists in the shutout of Alfred, then followed with five points on three goals and two assists in the win over St. John Fisher.
Habitzreuther anchored the defense in goal, combining for 14 saves while allowing seven total goals on the week. He did not allow a goal in 40 minutes of action against Alfred, helping secure the shutout, and made 11 saves while allowing seven goals in the victory over St. John Fisher.
