ROCHESTER, NY - Nazareth was well represented in the Empire 8 Women's Hockey All-Conference awards, with eight Golden Flyers earning honors as the league announced Thursday. Sophomore forward Amy Laskowski was selected as the Player of the Year and earned First Team All-Conference recognition. She is joined on the first team by sophomore forward Brooke Judkiewicz and freshman defender Ella Konrad. Junior Allie Zack was named the league's Defensive Player of the Year and secured Second Team All-Conference honors. Also earning second‑team recognition were sophomore defender Ave Meteyer and freshman goaltender Mia Gonsalves. Head coach Chris Baudo was honored as the conference's Coach of the Year, while Emili Haratani was Nazareth's representative on the Tomorrow's Leaders List. This year is the first time that the Empire 8 conference has released an All-Conference team.
Laskowski had another phenomenal year, improving off her performance in her freshman season where she earned UCHC Co-Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Laskowski recorded points in 24 of 26 games this season, producing 49 total points (school record) to lead the Empire 8. Her 25 goals (school record) and 24 assists were also atop the conference. Laskowski also led the conference in shots (136), power play goals (8), points per game (1.88), and game winning goals (6).
Judkiewicz cemented herself as one of the Empire 8s top players this season as she built off a strong freshman campaign. This season, she posted 10 goals, ranking 9th in the Empire 8, 21 assists (21), for 31 points (3rd). Judkiewicz also had a strong 200-foot game, playing both ends of the ice very well. She posted a plus/minus of +29 (3rd) and won 60.3% of her faceoffs (3rd).
Konrad had an amazing rookie campaign, earning Empire 8 First Team All-Conference Honors. She recorded 3 goals and led all defenseman in the Empire in both assists, with 17, and total points with 20. Konrad also put up an impressive +27, ranking 5th overall in the Empire 8.
Zack continued her consistent play for Nazareth, earning Defensive Player of the Year and All-Conference Second Team honors. She produced 5 goals, ranking 20th in the Empire 8, and 8 assists for 13 points. Zack was stellar defensively, recording a league leading +38 and 33 block shots (4th), helping lead Nazareth to a league-low 28 goals against all season.
Meteyer had a massive improvement in production from her freshman year, helping her earn Second Team All-Conference recognition. In 26 games, she recorded 3 goals, 17 assists (6th), for 20 points (10th). Meteyer was a +23 (9th).
Gonsalves was a force in net for the Golden Flyers all season, starting a league-high 24 games. During that time, she registered a 1.18 goals against average (2nd), 4 shutouts (1st), a .927 save percentage (4th), and registered 14.92 saves per game.
Head Coach Chris Baudo helped orchestrate the first undefeated regular season in program history, as Nazareth currently sits at 25-0-1 and is ranked #3 nationally. Nazareth led the league in goals per game (4.65), goals allowed per game (1.08), penalty kill percentage (90.2%), and powerplay percentage (29.3%). The Golden Flyers are seeking their fifth-straight UCHC title as they host Elmira at 3 pm On Saturday in the championship game.
Emili Haratani was Nazareth's representative on the Tomorrow's Leaders List. One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2025-26 Women's Hockey Tomorrow's Leaders Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding players.
