HILTON, NY (nazathletics.com) - Three Golden Flyers earned Empire 8 weekly honors, the conference announced Monday afternoon. Nikki Sharp and Charles Ross represented hockey as Players of the Week while David Dobrowolski picked up a Field Athlete of Week nod. 

Sharp led Women's Hockey to a 2-0 weekend over Elmira with two goals and one assist to clinch the top seed in the UCHC. The junior forward tallied the game winning goal with 22 seconds left in regulation to take down Elmira, 3-2, on Friday before netting a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win over Elmira on Saturday. 

Ross contributed three goals in two wins for Men's Hockey over St. John Fisher last weekend. The sophomore defensemen registered two goals in the team's 4-2 win against the Cardinals on Friday before scoring the game-winner over St. John Fisher on Saturday for a 2-1 Golden Flyer victory. 

Dobrowolski finished second in the weight throw at Utica's Blue and Orange Invitational on Saturday with a personal-best mark of 60-2 1/2 m (18.35 ft). His second consecutive personal best in the event, the junior's throw sits second in program history to Luis Rivera's 2016 mark of 67-1 1/4 m (20.45 ft).
