NEW HAVEN, CT - Mason Joseph stood tall in net for the Golden Flyers but they ultimately failed to beat the Albertus Magnus goaltender, as they fell 2-0 in their regular season finale. Nazareth finishes their season with a 15-7-3 overall record and 9-6-1 record in conference play. 
 
How It Happened:

• The Golden Flyers came out with a purpose in the first period, generating 21 shots on the Albertus Magnus goaltender. However, the lone goal of the frame came from the Falcons around the halfway mark, sending Nazareth into the intermission trailing 1–0.
• Albertus flipped the momentum to start the second period, testing goaltender Mason Joseph with seven shots in the opening ten minutes. Joseph stood tall to keep the Golden Flyers within one goal.
• The second period stayed scoreless the rest of the way as Albertus carried its 1-0 lead into the locker room. 
• The high event third period would fail to see any goals through the first 15 minutes of play with Albertus barely outshooting the Golden Flyers, 13-12.
• With 2:45 remaining, Nazareth had a great chance to tie the game as Blake Frost set up Andrew Miller streaking down the left side of the offensive zone but his shot just missed high.
• With no time remaining, the Falcons would score an empty net goal to finish it off. The shots on goal would end 40-37 in favor of the Golden Flyers.

• Goaltender Mason Joseph made 35 saves 
• The Golden Flyers went 60% from the faceoff circle
• Nazareth's 15 wins this season is second all time in program history

• Nazareth will host Albertus Magnus on Wednesday, February 25th for a UCHC quarterfinal matchup at 7 p.m.
