ROCHESTER, N.Y. The Nazareth Track and Field team hosted the Division 3 Elite meet on Saturday 2/14 to finish up day two of the meet. Many great performances occurred across the board making up for a great way to end day two.

How It Happened:

• In the 400m dash Michael Puglisi and Nicholas Driver raced for 2nd and 3rd place
  • Puglisi 49.82 
  • Driver 50.67
• Graeden Heichberger claimed a first place finish in the shot put with a throw of 15.32m (50-3 ¼ ft) 
• In the 800 meter race Gavin McAllister took 5th place with a time of 1:56.64 with Jack Healy coming across the line soon after with a time of 2:00.51

Meet Notes:

• The previously mentioned Puglisi not only placed 3rd but in addition hit the regional qualifying time in the 400m dash 
• McAllister's time in the 400 meter dash hit the qualifying standard for regionals, needing to be sub 1:57.50, he ran 1:56.644  

What's Next:

• Next weekend the Golden Flyers will host the Conference Tune-Up at the Gollisano Training Center starting at 3:30 p.m.
