The Nazareth men's tennis team won its second-straight Empire 8 match on Wednesday, downing Oswego 7-2 at the Golisano Training Center.
Nazareth is now 6-5 overall and 2-0 in Empire play, while Oswego is 1-2 and 0-1, respectively.
All three doubles matches were decided by an 8-5 score.
Griffin Bond and
Max Funiciello won first doubles and
Chris Benedict/
Noah Britton won second doubles.
Bond took first singles 6-3, 7-6 (7-5), while Funiciello won second singles 6-3, 6-1.
Pierre Ntonga took third singles 6-4, 6-2, and Britton fourth singles 6-2, 6-1.Â
Benedict won the only three setter, winning sixth singles 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6).
Nazareth returns to action on Saturday, traveling to Houghton at 1 p.m.
