Men Compete in Heptathlon, Pole Vault, and Shot Put On Day 1 of Regionals

Results

Ithaca, NY - The men's track and field team competed at Ithaca college in day 1 of the All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Meet on Friday.
 
In the men's heptathlon, junior Jack Pomykaj earned 2386 points and is in 10th place after four events. In the 60-meter event he finished in 7.32 to take 4th place to earn 772 points. Pomykaj took 9th place in the long jump with a final result of 6.10 meters (20' ¼) to add 608 points to his total. He threw 9.19 meters (30' 2") in the shot put to earn 437 points. Finally, in the high jump he placed 9th and jumped 1.73 meters (5' 8") to add 569 points. 
 
Freshman Will D'Agata took 6th place in the men's pole vault with a result of 4.46 meters (14' 7" ½). 
 
Another freshman, Graeden Heichberger competed in the men's shot put. He threw 14.52 meters (47' 7" ¾) to take 12th place. 
 
Day 2 of the Regional Track and Field Meet will continue on Saturday, March 8 at Ithaca College.
