ROCHESTER, NY – The U.S. Basketball Writers Association announced its Rochester Area teams on Wednesday with Molly Benetti and Sarina McDowell earning First Team honors and Madalyn Kelly earning Honorable mention recognition.

Benetti averaged 11.9 points on a 43.4 field goal percentage and 6.5 rebounds per game in 27 contests. The junior had four double-doubles on the year and tallied 56 blocks.

McDowell, a First Team All-Empire 8 selection, averaged 12.4 points on a 52.3 field goal percentage. She also added 5.4 rebounds per game and recorded two double-doubles on the year.

Kelly caught fire at the end of the season, averaging 19.2 points over her last five games. For the season, she averaged 11.3 points on 47.3 percent from the field and 43.1 percent from 3-point range.
