ERLY, MA. – Endicott outscored visiting Nazareth 5-3 in the fourth quarter of Saturday's men's lacrosse game to edge the Golden Flyers 14-12 in the non-conference contest. The Gulls' Nick Graap scored the eventual game-winning goal from the left wing with 2:09 remaining in the period. Junior

Alex Garrow recorded two goals and two assists.
Following the loss, Nazareth slips to 1-1 on the season. Endicott improves to 2-0 with the victory.
The Golden Flyers had possession in the final minute of the fourth to try to tie the game, but the Gulls' defense forced a turnover in front of the Endicott crease with about 20 seconds remaining. Following the clear and a pair of Endicott timeouts, Guerin Favreau added an insurance goal as Nazareth doubled the ball and left the net open.
In the tightly-contested game that featured 10 ties and six lead changes, the Golden Flyers had a pair of two-goal leads in the first half.
In the first quarter, Nazareth scored three consecutive goals to claim a 3-1 lead midway through the stanza following a goal apiece by Garrow,
Matthew Farrington, and Rosenberger. Farrington found Garrow in front of the Endicott net to put the Golden Flyers on the board. A few minutes later, Farrington secured a loose ball following a scramble in the Nazareth offensive zone and put a shot in the net. Senior
Andy Hamel capped the run when he found Rosenberger at the edge of the crease to score in transition with 5:37 left in the first.
After the Gulls battled back to tie the game, 6-6, Rosenberger and junior
William O'Neill scored consecutive goals in the final 65 seconds of the second quarter to give Nazareth an 8-6 lead at halftime. Rosenberger converted in transition again to put the Golden Flyers ahead, and Nazareth drew a penalty on the play. About 45 seconds later, O'Neill was the eventual beneficiary of effective ball movement as he scored on the man-up opportunity.
Endicott tallied three consecutive goals in the third quarter to take the 9-8 lead. The teams traded ties and one-goal leads until the final minute of regulation. The Golden Flyers' last lead was 12-11 with 4:57 left in regulation when Nazareth forced the Gulls into a turnover, and
Parker Wilcox scored in transition.
McLean Ralston finished with a game-high 14 saves for the Golden Flyers. Teagan Alexander and Christopher Tillotson combined for 11 saves for Endicott.
Nazareth converted 2-for-3 man-up opportunities while the Gulls were 1-for-3 with the extra attacker.
The Golden Flyers won 17-of-30 faceoffs, but Endicott finished with a 46-33 advantage in ground balls.
Nazareth is in action again on Wednesday when the Golden Flyers travel to third-ranked RIT for a 4 p.m. non-conference game.
