HILTON, N.Y. (nazathletics.com) - Three Golden Flyers took home Empire 8 Weekly honors, the conference announced Monday afternoon. 

Jaylen Savage earned the season's first Men's Basketball Player of the Week while Meredith Boettcher grabbed her own Player of the Week honor for Women's Ice Hockey. Mason Joseph rounded out the award winners with a Goaltender of the Week distinction for Men's Ice Hockey. 

Savage led the Golden Flyers to a Mike Daley Memorial Tournament Championship win with 45 points in two wins over Medgar Evers and Marywood. He earned the tournament's Most Valuable Player award after he shot 19 of 29 from the floor and 7 of 8 from the free throw line. In the team's 98-86 championship win against Marywood, Savage went 11 for 12 from the floor with 27 points. 

Boettecher recorded three goals and an assist in two wins for Nazareth last weekend. The junior netted two goals and an assist on five shots in 5-1 win over SUNY Morrisville on Friday night before she scored the game-winning goal to lead the Golden Flyers over SUNY Cortland, 2-1, on Saturday. 

Joseph tallied 28 saves and allowed just one goal Saturday night to aid the Golden Flyers to a 3-1 win over SUNY Potsdam. Joseph leads Nazareth with 53 saves and a .964 saves percentage this season.
