BUFFALO, NY - Nazareth was unable to keep up with the high powered Daemon attack, falling in their first exhibition match of the season on Saturday evening at Key Bank Center. 

How It Happened:

• Both teams were trading baskets early on, as the game was tied 6-6 through the first five minutes.

• Daemen did their best to pull away early, leading 20-10 with eight minutes left to play in the first half but Nazareth would defend well and hang around in the game. 

• Daemen would then go on a 17-5 run to extend the lead to 20 points. 

• The Golden Flyers would then respond with an eight point run of their own to end the first half to cut the lead to 35-21.

• However, the Golden Flyers were unable to carry that momentum over to the 2nd half, as Daemen would regain that 20 point lead and make it 49-29 with 12 minutes remaining. 

• Daemen would then be able to cruise to victory in the final 12 minutes, winning 75-48

• Merritt Holly led the team in points with 14

• Jaylen Savage finished with 11 points

• Luke Insley led the team in assists with 3

• The Golden Flyers will host Medgar Evers College in the Mike Daley Memorial Tournament on Saturday, November 7th at 8 p.m.
