Women’s Volleyball Earns Senior-Day Victory over Keuka, 3-0

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (nazathletics.com) - Nazareth Women's Volleyball (1-20, 1-5) earned a senior day victory over Keuka (1-19, 0-6), 3-0, Saturday afternoon inside Kidera Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Nazareth took control early in the first set, jumping ahead 7-1 with a strong offensive start from Leah Fusilli. Keuka called two timeouts to slow the momentum but struggled to respond as Nazareth maintained its lead for the remainder of the set. A late service ace from Madeline Saunders and a block from Liz Moran and Alana Lucey closed out the set, 25-14.
  • The second set was much tighter, featuring multiple ties and momentum shifts. Nazareth built an early lead before Keuka rallied to go up 16-13. After a timeout, the Golden Flyers came back to tie the set three times before retaking control at 24-22. Service pressure and a block sealed a 25-23 win, giving Nazareth a two-set advantage.
  • Keuka jumped out to a 6-1 lead to start the third set, but Nazareth responded with a 6-1 run of its own to tie it at 7-7. The Golden Flyers took control from there, using a 9-3 stretch to go up 16-10. Despite a brief Keuka push that cut the deficit to 23-18, Nazareth finished strong with two final points to secure the 25-18 win and complete the sweep.
