ROCHESTER, NY – Five of the Nazareth University women's cross country team set personal best the 5k at the Harry F Anderson Invitational hosted by Roberts Wesleyan Saturday morning. The team finished 13
th overall out of the 22 competing teams.
Of those that set PRs, sophomore
Kelsey Fahy finished highest on the team in 35
th place with a time of 19:17.9 (previous best of 20:14.0), while classmates
Ava Baker,
Kennedy Doran, and
Bailey Visingard (68
th) also recorded PRs. Baker finished 21:50.2 (22:14.7), Doran finished 21:28.6 (22:14.7), and Visingard finished 20:05.1 (20:16.7).
Senior
Paige Ackley was the remaining Golden Flyer to PR, with her best race with a 20:22.1 in the 5k since the 2021 E8 Championships, where she ran a 20:34.6. She was 83
rd.
Sophomores
Meghan Moyer, 21:06.8, and
Morgan Pospiech, 21:15.4, finished 10 places from each other in 119
th and 129
th, respectively.
Freshman
Emily Perham ran a 21:37.6, followed by her classmates
Emily Miller (21:41.7),
Alia Graziadei (21:55.9), and
Nadia Dudley (23:10.9).
The women next compete at Fredonia for the Pre-Regional Race on Saturday, October 5
th.
