PENN YAN, NY –
Vincent Falgiatano was the individual champion with a 75 (+3) and the Nazareth team finished first overall (383 for a +30) at the Keuka College Fall Invitational hosted at Lakeside Country Club on Tuesday. Nazareth was first out of six teams (383 for a +30), followed by Russel Sage (322 for a +34), Keuka A (330 for a +42), SUNY Canton (344 for a +56), Hilbert (360 for a +72), and Keuka B (403 for a +115).
Vincent Falgiatano had three birdies in the 7
th, 8
th, and 14
th holes. Falgiatano shot three strokes clear of the runner-up from Russel Sage, finishing with a score of 75 (+3).
Vincent's brother,
Anthony Falgiatano placed third in individuals, shooting one of the only two eagles in the match in the 13
th hole. The grad student ended with a score of 79 (+7)
Thomas McIntosh finished one stroke behind the eldest Falgiatano, with a score of 80 (+8), earning himself a fourth place finish.
Teammates
Parker Watson and
Colin Rider ended in a tie for 14
th. Though they only shot the same score at one hole, they both ended with a score of 84 (+12).
The Golden Flyers will head back to Keuka for another invitational on Sunday, September 22
nd for their next match.
