ROCHESTER, NY - Nazareth's three-game shutout streak came to an end on Tuesday night as the Golden Flyers fell to #8 Rochester in non-conference play. The Yellojackets broke through in the 81st minute on a penalty kick.

In the first half, goalie Annika Monfort, named Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week, made an unstoppable save off the line from a header just about to roll into the net.

Nazareth created few opportunities, one being Alice O'Connor slotting a ball through the defense with Haley Dennison running on and getting a shot off, just missing high and wide. 

The game remained scoreless after the first half.

Both Nazareth and University of Rochester applied the pressure in the second half. O'Connor had another amazing diagonal ball behind the defense that reached the foot of Tatum Overton, but is the keeper came off her line and made the save.

Nazareth coming is now 3-1 overall, while Rochester is 3-0-1.

Nazareth returns to action on Saturday, hosting Ithaca College at 12 p.m.
