All-Empire 8 Softball Team

ROCHESTER, NY – Freshman Morgan Russo and sophomore Maddy Spakoski led the Nazareth University Softball team in most offensive categories, and each have earned a spot on the All-Empire 8 team.

Spakowski was a Second Team selection in the outfield and Russo earned Third Team honors at the catcher position.

Spakowski had a .337 overall batting average and a .469 average in Empire 8 games. She finished with 35 hits, eight doubles, three home runs and 16 runs batted in.

Russo had a .392 average overall and a .440 average in conference games. She led Nazareth with 40 hits, two triples, a school-record 16 doubles and added four homers and 21 runs batted in and was 10-for-12 in stolen base attempts.
