PENN, YAN, NY – The Nazareth men's golf team looked strong in its final tune-up before the conference championships this weekend, as the Golden Flyers took first place overall at the Keuka College Spring Invite on Tuesday with 322 total (+34).
Vincent Falgiatano won the event and
Lincoln Crosby was second place, while
Thomas McIntosh was fifth place. The golf was played at Lakeside Country Club on a par-72 playing 6,413 yards.
Nazareth finished with 322 (+34), ahead of second place Keuka with 345 (+57). SUNY Cobbleskill was third with 354 (+66), followed by Hilbert with 360 (+72), Kueka "b" with 381 (+93), and Clarks Summit with 443 (+155).
Falgiatano was the overall champion after carding a 77 (+5). He was followed by Crosby who was in a tie for second with a 79 (+7).
McIntosh was the next to finish for the Golden Flyers as he shot an 82 (+10). The final scorer for the Golden Flyers was junior
Colin Rider who shot an 84 (+12) which was good for seventh place.
Also playing for the Golden Flyers was
Kyle Kuzniar who tied for 11
th with an 89 (+17) and
Alex Bolis who was 20
th with a 96 (+24).
Nazareth takes part in the Empire 8 Spring Championships on Saturday and Sunday at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, PA.
