The Golden Flyers (2-14) dropped both games in five innings to Alfred (10-8) with scores of 14-5 and 11-3.

Nazareth started the first game off with two runs in the first inning after sophomore Maddie Klein led off with a single followed by a home run to left field from Suitor, her second of the season. Alfred answered with four runs in the bottom of the first, making it a 4-2 game.

Nazareth tied the game 4-4 in the top of the second inning. Ashley Bell singled to start the rally followed by a walk from Avery Zembek. Klein singled to right field to drive home Bell while freshman Morgan Russo singled to left field to score Zembek.

The Saxons answered with five runs in both the second and third inning to break open the game. Nazareth trailed 14-4 after three innings.

Suitor picked up her third RBI of the game in the fourth inning with a single to right center field to score Zembek.

Both teams had opportunities to score in the second inning but came up empty.

Spakoski notched her second RBI of the game with a single down the right field line in the third inning after a pair of singles from freshman Morgan Russo and Pum. The Saxons bounced back with another two-run inning to take the lead 4-3 after the third inning.

Alfred extended their lead with one run in the fifth inning and a six-run inning in the fifth to close out the doubleheader.
