RUSH, NY – Sophomore Vincent Falgiatano shot a 7-over par Sunday to tie for first place overall and lead the Nazareth University Men's Golf team to a second-place team finish at the Nazareth Spring Invitational at Wild Wood Country Club.
Falgiatano tied with Ryan Arp from Russell Sage for medalist honors and led the Golden Flyers to a +39 team scored that ranked second on the team leaderboard just three strokes behind overall team winner Hobart (+36).
Sage was third with a +43 followed by SUNY Canton (+52), Keuka (+62) and SUNY Cobleskill (+74).
Freshman Lincoln Crosby was second in scoring for Nazareth as he finished tied for sixth with a +9 score and senior Thomas McIntosh was one stroke back at +10 to finish ninth overall.
Junior Colin Rider rounded out the Nazareth scoring with a +13 as he finished in a tie for 16th overall.
Other golfers for Nazareth included sophomore Alex Bolis (+19), sophomore Kyle Kuzniar (+24), senior Jake Page (+25), senior Owen White (+25) and freshman Owen Fisk (+38).
Nazareth will compete Tuesday in the Elmira Invitational at the Elmira Country Club.
