Final Results
HERSHEY, PA – Freshman Lincoln Crosby finished the Empire 8 Championship Tournament with a third-place finish and an overall score of 319 (+35) and was named the conference Rookie of the Year as he led the Nazareth University Men's Golf team to a fifth-place finish overall at the Hershey Country Club.
St. John Fisher won the team title with a four-round score of 1,250. Oswego (1,316) was second followed by Utica (1,327), Russell Sage (1,342) and Nazareth (1,356). The Golden Flyers finished ahead of Elmira (1,392) and Keuka (1,466).
Leading Nazareth for the third straight round of championships was Crosby who posted a score of 82 (+11) in the final round Sunday. After going out with a 45 to begin the final round, Crosby had a strong back nine with seven pars and two bogeys, leading him to tie for an impressive third place finish.
Senior Thomas McIntosh and junior Colin Rider both delivered 90 (+19) performances in the final round. McIntosh's eight solid pars were good for a 338,15th place finish.
Sophomore Vincent Falgiatano finished 20th overall with a 346 (+62), and Rider's four stroke improvement from round three led him to a 355 28th place finish.
Also scoring for Nazareth was sophomore Alex Bolis who shot 46 on the front and back nine for a round four score of 92 (+21) and an overall 357 (+73) for 26th place.
Sophomore Kyle Kuzniar rounded out the Nazareth scoring with a 372 (+88).
Up next, the Golden Flyers will host the Nazareth Spring Invitational next Sunday at Wild Wood Country Club in Rush.
