ROCHESTER, NY - The Nazareth women's hockey team opened up the 2024-25 season with a dominating win over Rivier University Raiders, 5-0. Five different goal scorers found the back of the net, including
Brooke Terry netting her first collegiate goal.
Kate Cascio,
Nikki Sharp,
Alexis Kindred, and
Allie Zack were the other goal scorers.

Nazareth is 1-0 on the season, while River is 0-1.Â

From the get-go the Nazareth offense was smothering and the Golden Flyers finished the game with 65 shots to Rivier's 3.

Zack started the scoring by deking a defender to the right and firing a wrister for a 1-0 lead with less than five minutes to play in the first.Â

Nazareth's second goal came on a long pass from Sharp to
Meredith Boettcher, who fed a pass across to Kindred for the tally just over a minute into the second.

Near the midway point, Cascio backhanded a goal from Zack to make it 3-0.

In the third, a shot from the point from
Sami Quackenbush was re-directed by Sharp to make it 4-0 with 17:58 remaining.Â

Just :34 seconds later Brooke netted her first collegiate goal after a beautiful pass from Kindred.

McKinley Hoff made three saves.
Nazareth returns to action on Saturday, November 9, hosting Morrisville at 2 p.m.
