Final Results
ROCHESTER, NY – Senior Ryan Hough won both the 100- and 200-meter freestyle events, was second by a tenth of a second in the 50 and led a come-from-behind effort in the 200-freestyle relay to lead the Nazareth University Men's Swimming and Diving team in the first action of the second semester Friday in a dual with Alfred University.
The Saxons won the team score 186-101.
Hough clocked a 53.79 to win the 100-meter race and had a 2:01.97 to win the 200 and was just shy of the triple-win with a second-place time of 24.71 as he finished just .10 off the pace.
He capped the meet with an outstanding final leg of the 200-meter freestyle relay as he led a come-from-behind effort with a split of 23.84 to overtake the lead and give the Golden Flyers a final win. He teamed with senior Cameron Fairley, junior William Danaher and sophomore Sam Romanosky for a time of 1:41.87 to win by .05.
Senior Kai D'Alessandro added a first-place finish in the 800-meter freestyle as he recorded a 9:45.03 to win by nearly 30 seconds in the distance event.
Nazareth is back in action January 27 with a home dual against Penn State Behrend in the final home meet of the season.
