ROCHESTER, NY – Sophomore Vincent Falgiatano fired a pair of birdies on the back nine and was the lone golfer to shoot under par Sunday as he led the Nazareth University Men's Golf team to a third-place finish at the Nazareth Fall Invitational at the Stafford Country Club.
Falgiatano had birdies on 10th and 13th holes on the back nine Sunday to finish at -1 (71) to finish first overall at the tournament.
SUNY Canton won the team score with a +20 and Hobart was second at +25 while Nazareth was third one stroke back at +26. SUNY Poly was fourth at +64.
Falgiatano led Nazareth with his -1 score and freshman Lincoln Crosby was next for the Golden Flyers at +4. Senior Thomas McIntosh was next at +10 and the trio of junior Colin Rider (+13), sophomore Alex Bolis (+15) and senior Owen White (+17) rounded out the scoring for Nazareth.
The Golden Flyers will compete again Thursday at the Utica Invitational at Yahnundasis Golf Club.
