Nazareth Athletics to Honor Student-Athletes

Awards Banquet to be streamed live

ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth Athletic Department will honor the accomplishments of the student-athletes from the 2022-23 season with the annual Awards Banquet Sunday, April 23 at 6 p.m. in Beston Hall of the Glazer Music Performance Center on campus.

The awards banquet has traditionally been limited to senior student-athletes but this year the awards ceremony was expanded to include all athletes and additional awards have been added to the list that will be handed out at the ceremony.

The evening begins with a pre-show reception in the entrance way of the Glazer Center starting at 5 p.m. Athletes and staff will make their way into the auditorium for the awards show set to start at 6 p.m.

The senior student-athletes from each team will be recognized and the annual senior awards including the Robert A. Kidera, Jeff VanGundy, Bill Carey and Emily Haskins Awards will be announced as well as Nazareth President Beth Paul on hand to present the President's Team awards.

In addition to the annual awards, there will be 11 additional awards modeled after the ESPY awards will be handed out. The ESPY-type awards include Comeback Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Sophomore of the Year, Junior of the Year, Fifth Year of the Year, Best Multi-Sport Athlete, Top Record-Setting Performance, Best Team, Play of the Year, Social Media Post of the Year and Coach of the Year. Each award will have a male and female winner.
