ROCHESTER, NY - A total of 218 Nazareth University student-athletes were selected to the 2025 Empire 8 President's list for the fall semester, which is the conference's highest academic honor.
"Recipients of this honor must earn a 3.75 grade-point average or higher during the semester, while participating in an NCAA-sponsored sport. In addition, the student-athlete must display positive conduct on and off campus and be enrolled full time at the member institution. The conference states, "Its commitment to serve the educational needs of its student-athletes is the hallmark of the Empire 8 Conference."
Nazareth finished third, behind St. John Fisher and SUNY Brockport respectively, for the most student‑athletes represented on the President's list. Of the 25 Nazareth teams included, the top men's program was men's ice hockey with a 3.8 grade point average. The highest performing women's program was women's basketball with a 3.67 GPA.
The other Nazareth teams included on this list were Men's Basketball 3.55, Women's Crew 3.53, Men's Cross Country 3.53, Women's Cross Country 3.57, Dance 3.65, Equestrian 3.57, Field Hockey 3.59, Men's Golf 3.61, Women's Golf 3.41, Women's Ice Hockey 3.58, Men's Lacrosse 3.33, Women's Lacrosse 3.65, Men's Soccer 3.53, Women's Soccer 3.56, Softball 3.63, Women's Swimming and Diving 3.51, Men's Tennis 3.58, Women's Tennis 3.55, Men's Track and Field 3.39, Women's Track and Field 3.54, and Women's Volleyball 3.61.
