Women's Lax Wins Fifth-Straight With 20-3 Victory Over Keuka

KEUKA PARK, NY – The Nazareth women's lacrosse team had its highest goal output of the season on Wednesday, downing Keuka 20-3 for its fifth-straight win. Kate Metzler tied a career-high with seven points on three goals and four assists.
 
Maggie Vay (4G), Maren Wallace (2G, 2A), and Emma States (3G, 1A) all finished the day with four points.
 
Nazareth is now 7-5 overall and 4-0 in conference play, while Keuka falls to 1-7 and 0-3, respectively.
 
Vay scored the first two goals of the game as Nazareth erupted for nine goals in the first quarter. States scored all three of her goals in the first, including a man-down goal to make it 5-0. States moves into seventh all-time at Nazareth in goals (146) and ninth all-time in career points with 191 after today's game.
 
The Golden Flyers led 13-3 at the half and kept that momentum going the rest of the way.
 
Reva Mussi ended the day with two goals and one assist, while Julia Dietz (2G) and Caraline Riley (2A) each notched two points in the game.
 
Emily Paddock, Grace Seither, Alex LaDue, and Izzy Geesler all added a goal.
 
Tori Henchen got the start in net, making two saves and allowing three goals in 30 minutes of action. Allie Klestinec made six saves without allowing a goal.
 
Nazareth will have an East Avenue rival showdown on Saturday, hosting St. John Fisher at 12 p.m. at NLPA Field.
