Nazareth College Athletics

Biomedical Sciences major... daughter of Robert and Patricia States, Phoenix, N.Y...returning for her fourth season and third as a team captain for the Golden Flyers after starting all 18 games and leading the team with 51 goals and 72 points … her 21 assists were second on the team and helped her earn First Team All-Empire 8 honors for the second consecutive season … also named All-Region by the IWLCA … recorded goals in each of the final 15 games in the season including a season-high five goals in three different games – New Paltz, Cortland and St. Lawrence …had a season-best eight points in a game twice with five goals and three assists against Cortland and four goals and four assists against Utica … also produced 18 groundballs and 16 caused turnovers … named to the IWLCA All-Academic team which honors student-athletes with at least a 3.50 grade point average.

2021: team captain... States was the Golden Flyers' top scorer in 2021 as she started all 13 games at attack... amassed 48 points on 37 goals and 11 assists to go with nine ground balls, 27 draw controls and nine caused turnovers... scored a career-best six goals in a 13-9 win over Utica on 3/13/21... had seven points (3g, 4a) at Sage on 4/10/21 and at Utica (5g, 2a) on 4/17/21... had four-goal games vs. Hartwick on 4/3/21 and vs. Utica in the Empire 8 tournament on 4/30/21... earned first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors as well as second-team Empire Region all-star honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.

2020: States was making a significant first-year impact for the Golden Flyers before the 2020 season was prematurely shut down due to COVID-19 restrictions...started all six games and led the team in scoring with 23 points on 19 goals and four assists... scored in all six games with a season-best five goals against Ithaca on 2/22/20... also scored four times each in wins over Buffalo State (2/26/20) and Illinois Wesleyan (3/11/20)... scored all three of Nazareth's goals at William Smith on 3/4/20.

Scholastic: a graduate of C.W. Baker High in Baldwinsville, States played four seasons of varsity lacrosse there and was an honorable mention all-star selection in the Salt City Athletic Conference for 2019 after helping team to league and Section Three titles... named honorable mention in the Central New York Cities League in 2018... a four-time scholar-athlete award winner and 2019 recipient of the James R. Brink Sportsmanship Award... recipient of Baldwinsville Dollars for Scholars Award... played for the Orange Crush and Central New York Elite club teams.
