Men's Volleyball Falls to #9 New Paltz In 3 Sets

NEW PALTZ, NY – The ninth-ranked Nazareth men's volleyball team dropped to 0-3 in UVC play on Sunday, falling in straight sets to #8 New Paltz 25-20, 25-16, 25-22. Nazareth is now 14-4 overall and 0-3 in conference play. New Paltz moves top 13-5 and 1-0 in conference play.
 
The Golden Flyers struggled hitting all day, ending the day at just .048 on 83 swings (22 kills, 18 errors).
 
Nazareth's closest set was in the third. A kill from Owen Wickens gave Nazareth a 14-13 advantage.The Hawks then broke open a 17-17 game and held onto the lead for the rest of the set.
 
Wickens led Nazareth with 10 kills on a .222 attack percentage, while also adding six digs.
 
Trent Caviness had 14 assists, while Seth Terzo had eight digs.
