POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The No. 9 ranked Nazareth Men's Volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision Saturday to No. 2 ranked Vassar in a United Volleyball Conference (UVC) match on the road.
Vassar (13-1 overall, 3-0 UVC) won by set scores of 25-19, 25-17, and 25-20.
Junior Owen Wickens led Nazareth (14-3, 0-2 UVC) with 14 kills. Senior Trent Caviness and sophomore Max Stuver combined for 28 assists while senior Seth Terzo led the Golden Flyers with eight digs.
Nazareth struggled at the attack with just a .135 percentage for the match with Vassar recorded a .425 percentage with 42 kills and just eight errors in the match. The Brewers also recorded 14 blocks.
Nazareth continues the conference road trip and will face New Paltz Sunday. The Hawks are ranked No. 8 in the country.
