BROCKPORT, NY– Senior
Ryan Hough won two individual events (50 and 100 freestyle) and finished second in both the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relay in a double dual meet versus Brockport and Geneseo. Nazareth defeated Brockport 161-17, and fell to Geneseo 195-91.
Hough secured his first individual win with a 50-yard freestyle victory (21.54), followed by a 100-yard freestyle win (47.69) on Saturday afternoon. His 50 free was .05 faster than the previous meet.
Hough and his fellow teammates,
Cameron Fairley,
Sam Romanosky, and
Jackson Gerbes placed 2nd in the 200-yard medley relay to open the meet. Fairley,
William Danaher,
Adam DelGrand, and Hough also finished 2nd in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Senior
Kai D'Alessandro took a pair of second place finishes in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:48.61) and 200-yard backstroke (2:08.24). He also placed third in the 100-yard backstroke (58.17).
DelGrand added a second place finish in the 200-yard butterfly (2:08.23), third place spot in the 100-yard butterfly, and ended the day with a fourth place finish in the 200-yard 1M (2:10.03).
Freshman
Gianluca Antonini (10:52.94) took third place in the 1000-yard freestyle.
Along with the second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle and medley relay, Fairley notched second place and third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.98) and 500-yard freestyle (5:15.01), respectively.
Freshman
Carl Parsons (1:05.32) and Romanosky (1:07.49) finished in third and fourth place in the 100-yard backstroke.
The Golden Flyers return to action at home November 10 versus the University of Rochester.
