Women's XC Takes 8th at NCAA Regional Meet

Lilianna Hanning and Ella Impaglia earned all-region honors.

HOUGHTON, NY – The Nazareth women's cross country squad competed at the NCAA Niagara Regional Championship on Saturday at Houghton University finishing in eighth place with 203 points. Geneseo was the top finisher with 20 points. Lilianna Hanning and Ella Impaglia both earned all-region, which goes to the top 35 runners.


Hanning repeated her all-region performance from a year ago and was Nazareth's top finisher for the Golden Flyers, clocking a 6k time of 22:30.38 for 24th place. In 2022, Hanning placed 21st.


Impaglia earns all-region honors after ripping off a time of 22:38.0, good for 28th place.


Graduate student Emily Weaver just missed out on all-region as she finished in 36th place (22:50.0).


Senior Paige Ackley was just over 11 seconds off her personal best 6k time as she notched 57th place (23:13.7).


Freshman Meghan Moyer rounded out the scoring for Nazareth with a 58th place finish (23:14.8). Classmates Morgan Pospiech (24:12.8) and Bailey Visngard (24:17.6) were 77th and 82nd respectively.
