Nazareth College Athletics

Biomedical Sciences major... daughter of Stephen and Donna Hanning, Rochester, N.Y... returning for her fourth cross country season, Hanning was among top runners in the Empire 8 in 2022 as she placed second individually at the E8 Conference meet at Houghton with a personal-best 6k time of 22:57.7... gained first-team all-league honors... also finished 21st at the NCAA Niagara Regional race at Genesee Valley with a time of 23:29.4... also excelled as a distance runner during the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons in 2023... finished second in the 3,000-meter run (10:41.38) and fifth in the mile (5:22.41) at the E8 Indoor championships as Nazareth claimed its first-ever team title... she also helped the Golden Flyers to the outdoor title with a second-place finish in the 10,000-meter run (38:56.86) and fourth-place finish in the 5,000-meter run (18:53.62)... also competed at the All-Atlantic Regional meet at Susquehanna and finished eighth in the 10,000 with a personal-best time of 38:08.77... also posted personal-bests in the 1,500-meter run (5:06.33) and the 5,000-meter run (18:17.59)... represented the Golden Flyers for both the fall and spring semesters on the E8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and above.

2021-22: Hanning was among the top runners for the Golden Flyers in the fall of 2021 as she posted a 6k time of 23:42.7 to finish in 11th place at the Empire 8 Conference meet on 10/320/21... earned second-team all-conference honors as Nazareth placed second in the team standings... enjoyed strong indoor and outdoor seasons for the Golden Flyers' track and field team in 2022, finishing third in the 10,000-meter run at the E8 Outdoor Championships at Nazareth with a time of 39:45.70... also ran fourth in the 5,000 in 19:12.63... had a personal-best 5k time of 19:10.37 to finish sixth at the E8 Indoor Championships... her season included top times in the 3,000 meters (10:55.92) and the mile (5:44.53) indoors and the 1,500 meters (5:09.46) outdoors.

2020-21: Hanning was among Nazareth's top cross country runners in the spring of 2021 as she placed eighth at the Empire 8 Conference meet at Houghton on 4/9/21 to help the Golden Flyers to a second-place finish overall... clocked in 20:10.6 for 5 kilometers to earn first-team all-conference as well as E8 Sportswoman of the Year... finished seventh at St. John Fisher's Rodenbeck Invitational with a time of 16:43.6 for 4 kilometers... competed for the Golden Flyers' indoor and outdoor track teams and finished fourth in the 10,000-meter run (40:23.51) at the E8 Outdoor meet at Fisher on 5/8/21... other top outdoor times included 19:35.38 for 5,000 meters, 5:14.31 for 1,500 meters and 2:43.56 for 800 meters... had a top indoor time of 5:55.58 in the mile.

Scholastic: a graduate of Bishop Kearney High School, Hanning competed there in cross country and track and field... served as team captain and earned team MVP honors in cross country in 2019... finished ninth in Section Five Class D championships.
