Ryan Hough,
Kai D'Alessandro, and
Adam DelGrand had strong outings on Friday night for Nazareth as the Golden Flyers fell in a dual meet to the University of Rochester, 158-65.
Hough won two events on the day. He started with a win in the 50 SC meter freestyle, in a time of 23.90. The senior also won the 100 SC meter freestyle, touching the wall in 52.82. In that same race,
Solomon Panayil was third (1:01.52).
D'Alessandro started his individual event day with a second place finish in the 800 SC meter freestyle (9:28.96), followed by freshman
Gianluca Antonini (9:36.38) and
Cameron Fairley (9:43.90). He later swam to a third place finish in the 400 SC meter free (4:32.10), while Antonini was fourth (4:46.26).
DelGrand's best finish was second in the 100 SC meter butterfly (1:02.26), ahead of teammate
Jackson Gerbes (1:03.58) who was third. In the 200 SC meter free, DelGrand was able to finish third in 2:09.24).
The quartet of D'Alessandro,
Carl Parsons, DelGrand, and Hough had a strong swim in the 400 SC meter medley relay, taking second in 4:10.50.
Nazareth is off until December 1 when it heads to Ithaca for the Bomber Invitational.
