PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- Host St. John Fisher outscored Nazareth 15-10 in the fifth and decisive set Wednesday as the Cardinals closed out the Golden Flyers in a five-set men's volleyball match played at Fisher's Manning & Napier Gymnasium. Fisher won the match by scores of 25-16, 21-25, 25-17, 18-25, 15-10.

For Fisher, Jake Baker had four of his 15 kills in the fifth set in which the Cardinals surged to a 10-3 lead and Nazareth couldn't recover. Two kills by Sargent enabled Nazareth to close within 11-8 late in the set, but Fisher scored the next three points to pull away again.

Sargent had four kills in the second set and Wickens and Josh Weaver each had three as Nazareth squared the match at one set apiece. Sargent had four more kills in the fourth set and Alex Bertino and Nate Allen each delivered service aces as Nazareth tied the match again at 2-2.
