WEBSTER, NY – The Nazareth men's golf team closed out the fall portion of their schedule on Monday, finishing in fourth place with a two-day total of 715 (+139) at the Nazareth Invitational. The first round took place at the Links at Greystone on Sunday and the two-day tournament ended on Monday at Webster Golf Club.
St Lawrence was the overall champion at +31 (607), followed by Hobart at +66 (642), Utica at +120 (696), Nazareth at +139 (715), and Keuka in fifth place at +109 (796).
As a team, Nazareth played round two 15 strokes better than the opening round at the Links at Greystone, carding a 350 versus a 365.
Vincent Falgiatano was the top scorer for Nazareth, finishing in a tie for 10
th place at +23 (167). He followed up his opening round of 86 with an 81 on Monday.
Also carding an 81 (+9) on Monday was
Seth Terzo, which moved him up two spots to 13
th place overall at +25.
Joseph Brophy also improved on his first round by five strokes, shooting a +19 (91) to earn a tie for 18
th place at +43 overall.
The biggest improver by 10 strokes was freshman
Alex Bolis who followed up a 108 with a 98 on Monday to take 21
st place.
Other competitors for Nazareth were
Jason Proud who had a two-day total of 206 (108, 98),
Owen White at 187 (99, 88),
Kyle Kuzniar at 188 (98, 90) and
Jake Page at 219 (109, 110).
