ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Miyah Sizer, a senior guard on the Golden Flyers' women's basketball team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week for the period that concluded Jan. 2, 2022.

Sizer, of Rochester, N.Y. and a graduate of Brighton High School, lifted Nazareth to an 86-62 non-league win over Alfred State last Thursday as she produced a game- and season-high 19 points. Her stat line also included four three-point baskets, five assists, five rebounds and two steals as Nazareth won its fourth straight game to improve to 5-4 overall. Her point total was one shy of her career best of 20 points that was achieved last spring in a game at Russell Sage.

Nazareth is scheduled to open its Empire 8 Conference schedule with a home game Tuesday against Houghton at 5:30 p.m. The Golden Flyers also are on the road for a pair of games this weekend -- at Hartwick Friday at 5:30 p.m. and Russell Sage Saturday at 2 p.m.
