ROCHESTER, NY – Senior Abbey Luth scored a pair of second-period goals to lead the Nazareth College Women's Hockey team to a 5-0 victory over Arcadia University Friday in a United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) game at the Bill Gray's Iceplex.

The Golden Flyers (15-0-0 overall, 11-0-0 UCHC) won their 21st straight regular season game and remained one of just two undefeated teams in the country. Middlebury improved to 10-0 with a 1-0 overtime victory over Wesleyan Friday.

Nazareth, ranked No. 7 in the latest USCHO.com national poll, used a dominating 21-0 shots advantage in the first period and goals by seniors Madison Nichols and Elie Fallieras for the early lead.

Nichols capped a play with Fallieras and fellow senior Hailey Redders picking up assists and Fallieras scored with an assist from Nichols. The goals came in a span less than three minutes after the teams played a scoreless first 13 minutes.

In the second period, junior Olivia Miller-Johnson scored her first goal since November to push the Nazareth lead to 3-0 as seniosr Kyla Thompson and Nikolle Van Stralen assisted on the play 3:19 into the period.

Luth snapped a shot into the upper corner of the net for her eighth goal of the season after assists by freshman Sydney Swanson and senior Keeley Rose.

Less than three minutes later, Luth struck again with assists from freshman Ivey Lyden and junior Morgan Leuenberger for the 5-0 Nazareth lead.

Nazareth finished with a convincing 53-7 shots advantage and sophomore McKinley Hoff improved to 6-0-0 on the season with the shutout victory in the Nazareth goal.
