Caroline Breitweiser Saturday as Nazareth defeated host Alfred in an Empire 8 Conference women's tennis match, 7-2.
Nazareth evened its overall record at 1-1, while Alfred dropped to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
Guzman and Pullen won in decisive straight-set fashion at first and second singles respectively. The tandem also teamed up for an 8-2 victory at first doubles. Breitweiser and Spath also won easily at fifth and sixth singles and Bulkeley won her fourth singles match in three sets.
In addition to winning a point at first doubles, Nazareth won at third doubles behind the combination of freshman
Gwen Burns and junior
Theresa Hecht.
Nazareth is next in action Wednesday at home against Medaille at 4 p.m.
