ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth made short work of visiting Medaille Wednesday in a non-conference women's tennis match as the Golden Flyers swept the Mavericks in both singles and doubles in a 9-0 victory at the Golisano Training Center.
Freshmen
Lily Bulkeley and
Claire Pullen each won matches in singles and doubles as did sophomore
Aliya Guzman and senior
Lauren Carr. Senior
Caroline Breitweiser and sophomore
Katelyn Spath also recorded singles wins.
At first doubles, Guzman and Pullen won 8-2, while Bulkeley and Carr took an 8-4 triumph at second doubles. Freshman
Gwen Burns and sophomore
Theresa Hecht teamed for Nazareth's final point with an 8-3 win at third doubles.
Breitweiser played in the closest singles match as she took a 10-5 tiebreaker at #5. Meanwhile, Guzman, Pullen, Carr, Bulkeley and Spath all won their matches in straight sets.
Nazareth resumes its Empire 8 Conference schedule Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hartwick.
