Claire Bargabos was Nazareth's top finisher Saturday as the Golden Flyers' cross country teams competed at the Hamilton Short Course Invitational.
Bargabos covered the 4-kilometer course in 15:28.1 to place 11th overall as Nazareth finished fourth in the six-team field with 96 points. Ithaca, with four of the top six finishers, won the event with 29 points. St. Lawrence, paced by first-place finisher Allison Sibold (14:49.5), finished second with 36 points. Hamilton (72) was third, followed by Nazareth (96), St. John Fisher (144) and William Smith (167).
Running closely behind Bargabos was junior
Emily Weaver, who placed 12th overall in 15:29.8. Sophomore
Lilianna Hanning was in 22nd place (15:56.0), followed by junior
Megan Morin in 25th place (16:04.4) and senior
Elizabeth Decker in 28th place (16:19.8).
