Biography
Psychology major... daughter of Ed and Maryann DeSanctis, New Hartford, N.Y... returning for her second cross country season, DeSanctis finished in 20th place at the Empire 8 Conference meet at Washington County Fairgrounds with a season-best time of 24:25.2 for 6 kilometers... earned third-team all-conference... competed during the indoor and outdoor track an field seasons in 2022 and finished fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (12:52.13) at the E8 outdoor meet at Nazareth on 5/6/22... other top times included 5:32.72 for 1,500 meters (outdoors) and 2:36.09 for 800 meters (indoors)... named to the E8 Presidents' List in the spring of 2022 for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and higher.
Scholastic: a graduate of New Hartford High School, DeSanctis competed there in cross country and track... helped team to Section Three title in 2019... won awards for Heart and Hustle, Most Improved and Unsung Hero... also received the Cheryl Rettig Memorial Award.
