MARLTON, NJ – Senior Benjamin Butler and junior Nikolas Lamphear earned Scholastic All-American Awards from the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) as announced on the association website this week.

Both Lamphear and Butler have helped Nazareth build its rugby program from the inception two years ago to its current Division I level of participation. The Golden Flyers finished the season with a pair of wins at the prestigious CRC May Madness Tournament in New Orleans, LA.

"NCR congratulates each of our Scholastic All-Americans for their hard work and academic achievement. It's been a particularly difficult year due to the COVID restrictions, but each of these student athletes has demonstrated a strong commitment to learning while contributing to their team's success on the pitch." said Jeremy Treece, NCR CEO.

The award was presented to each player on current roster that achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average.
