NEW ORLEANS, LA – Sophomore Khalil Lynch earned a spot on the All-Tournament team for the Collegiate Rugby Championship (CRC) May Madness 7's Tournament in New Orleans. Lynch was an Honorable Mention selection.

Lynch led Nazareth to a fourth place finish in the Survivor Bracket of the tournament as the Golden Flyers posted wins over St. Scholastica (38-0) and Marian University (19-14). The tournament run ended with a heartbreaking 19-17 loss to Franciscan.

The sophomore scored the game-winning try against Marian to put Nazareth into the semifinal round of the Survivor Bracket of the tournament. The tournament featured some of the top teams in the country as Lindenwood University defeated Life University in the championship match.

Nazareth was one of the youngest teams in the tournament having just started a club program in 2019. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Golden Flyers were limited to three scrimmages in the spring season before making the trip to New Orleans, Louisiana for the tournament. The teams competed over three days at the professional stadium home of the NOLA Gold team of Major League Rugby.
