All-Region teams
NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – Four members of the Nazareth women's lacrosse team have been selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association all-region team that was released Tuesday. A total of 272 student-athletes were selected in the eight regions for 2021. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to the national IWLCA All-American team that will be released in June.
The Golden Flyers are representatives of the Empire Region that encompasses teams in New York State. Senior defender

Katie Lawrence were named to the second team.
Arena, of East Northport, N.Y., was named to the all-region team for the second time after earning second-team honors in 2018. In 2021, she started all 13 games and contributed two goals and one assist. She led the team in draw controls with 50 and in caused turnovers with 19 and was second in ground balls with 28.
States, of Phoenix, N.Y., led the Golden Flyers in scoring in 2021 with 48 points on 37 goals and 11 assists. She also was second on the team with 27 draw controls. She has amassed 56 goals in her first two seasons.
Parry, of Camillus, N/.Y., was a defensive fixture for the Golden Flyers who started all 13 games and had 15 caused turnovers and 18 ground balls.
Lawrence, of Tully, N.Y., started all 13 games in goal for the Golden Flyers in 2021 and had 84 saves for a 8.97 goals-against average and a save percentage of .457. She twice was honored as Empire 8 Goalie of the Week. She has totaled 122 saves in two seasons as Nazareth's starter.
The Golden Flyers finished with an overall record of 7-6 in 2021 and reached the championship game of the Empire 8 Conference Tournament.
