ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Host Nazareth made short work of Elmira in a United Volleyball Conference match Thursday as three players posted double-digit kill totals in the three-set victory. Scores were 25-19, 25-16, 25-21.
The match was the season opener for the Golden Flyers, while Elmira dropped to 0-2 overall.
Senior
Antonio Sargent was the most efficient for the Golden Flyers as he had a match-high 12 kills against three hitting errors on 17 attempts for a .529 hitting percentage. Sophomore

Owen Wickens each had 11 kills. Sophomore setter
Trent Caviness amassed 19 assists and had all three of his service aces in the opening set as the Golden Flyers seized control early.
Wickens had six of his kills in the opening set and senior
Jacob Rhea had all four of his kills. Caviness had 12 assists. Allen and Wickens each had four kills in the second set and Sargent had seven of his kills in the third set.
Overall, Nazareth had a .313 hitting percentage (44-18-83). Allen had seven digs, Wickens six and
Seth Terzo five.
Elmira was led by freshman Jordan Peiser with six kills. Neiram Galan-Canales had 12 assists and three digs.
Nazareth, playing its first match since March 7 of last year, returns to action Wednesday, March 10 to host eighth-ranked St. John Fisher at 7 p.m. at the Kidera Gymnasium.
