WEBSTER, NY – The Nazareth College Men's Swimming and Diving team captured first place in three individual events and one relay as the Golden Flyers finished second as a team at the Rochester Invitational meet that concluded Sunday after two days of competition.
Rochester won the team championship with 1,002 points and Nazareth was second with 828 points. Alfred (616) was third followed by Clarkson (440) and Utica (121).
Senior Sidney Taylor followed up his 3-meter diving title Thursday with the top score in the 1-meter competition Sunday.
Other individual winners for Nazareth were senior Luca Biagiotti who won the 200-yard butterfly in 1:57.12 and fellow senior John Koch who was the top finisher in the 200 breast with a time of 2:09.34. Junior Marco Salvatore was second in the 200 breast as he clocked a 2:10.34.
The Nazareth 800-yard freestyle relay also posted a first place finish as freshman
