Box Score PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- The University of Rochester outscored Nazareth65-35 over the final three quarters Thursday as the Yellowjackets surged to an 80-54 women's basketball victory in the opening game of the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout hosted by St. John Fisher.
The Golden Flyers had a first-quarter lead that they couldn't sustain as they dropped to 1-3 overall as a result. Rochester improved to 4-1. Both teams resume play in the tournament on Saturday. Nazareth takes on RIT at 6 p.m. at Fisher, while UR plays Fisher at 8 p.m.

Sabrina Wolfe led the Golden Flyers with 21 points. Senior
Kim Davis added 10 points and eight rebounds and senior
Jadyn Abrams scored eight.
Nazareth led 19-15 through the first 10 minutes, before the Yellowjackets embarked on a 23-10 second-quarter scoring spree to go up 38-29 at the break. UR padded its lead in the third quarter with a 20-11 scoring advantage, followed by a 22-14 edge in the fourth quarter.
Nazareth's shooting was part of the issue as the Golden Flyers shot 20-for-59 from the field overall with just one three-pointer in 13 attempts. The taller Yellowjackets also enjoyed a 53-36 rebounding edge.
UR had three double-digit scorers, led by Hannah Lindemuth's 15 points, which included three second-half three-pointers. Julianna Okoniewski added 12 points and Kat Jenks scored 10.
Nazareth was still within nine points, 40-31, following a basket by Wolfe early in the third quarter. Okoniewski scored the next basket to touch off an 11-2 scoring run to make the score 51-33 and the Yellowjackets were never in danger thereafter.
